Swampy Summit
This is the earliest of our magnetometers, which was installed at the University of Otago’s Radio Science Hut at Swampy Summit as part of an earlier research project. From the install date until mid-2022, this magnetometer was being sampled at roughly 19 Hz, downsampled to just over 2 Hz. To bring this magnetometer in line with the rest of our network, in May 2022, the sampling rate of this magnetometer was increased to 130 Hz, downsampled to just over 20 Hz. Due to the remoteness of this site, the data quality is typically very good. Due to a hardware failure, the 130 Hz data was irretrievably lost for a period of late 2022, with road conditions making servicing this site impossible for several months.
